This year National Rum Day falls on Friday, 16th August but we're keeping the good times flowing all August long.
It's time for Australian Craft Rum to step into the limelight, so we have designed a range of exciting events happening every weekend at Brix Bar and around our home in Surry Hills, Sydney to dive into the rich, bold and tantalising world of Rum.

Kick off Brix Rum Month with a delicious drop of one of the world's greatest spirits. Visit us at our Surry Hills Distillery Bar from Thursday, 1st August - Sunday, 4th August and enjoy a free sample of your choice from our range of Rums. Think Brix Mango Rum, Spiced Rum, Mandarin Liqueur and more. Samples are complimentary with any drink order.*

Australian Excellence

Embark on an extraordinary tasting journey & discover the homegrown excellence of Australian Rums.

In this session, you'll be joined by fellow Rum enthusiasts for an evening guided by Brix Rum Ambassadors through a tasting of 5 carefully curated premium Australian Rums hailing from the Mornington Peninsula to the cane fields of New South Wales.

Select Cask Series Dinner

On National Rum Day, we invite you to a tasting through our Select Cask Series, a range of single release small batch Rums, selected specifically for their story, their flavour profile & their quality.

This evening will feature a tasting of all our Select Cask Rums to date, including our sold out #001 Stout Barrel and an exclusive advanced tasting of the next release, Select Cask #005.
​
Each round of tastings will be matched with a tasting menu of delicious bites from the Brix kitchen.

Brix Surry Hills Rum Trail

Join us for a Rum-fueled adventure through our backyard of Surry Hills. Our team of Rum experts will guide you to some of our favourite neighbourhood watering holes - Tucano's, Taphouse, Forrester's & The Carrington - where you'll sip on bespoke Brix cocktails and sample one of our Rums at each venue. We'll conclude the experience back at Brix for a distillery tour and final tasting.

Sydney Cocktail Showcase

Experience an evening of cocktail artistry with Brix Rum. This exceptional evening will showcase premier Brix cocktails crafted by legends of the hospitality industry and featured at some of Sydney's finest bars and restaurants.
Discover the stories behind each glorious cocktail directly from the creator themselves, then watch as these brilliant drinks are expertly created before your eyes. Sip on these downright delicious drinks, tuck into tasty bites from the Brix kitchen and indulge in the elegance of the Sydney cocktail scene.

Razor Gangs

Round out Brix Rum Month with an evening of spirited stories that delve into Sydney's debaucherous Rum-infused past. Led by renowned Sydney Crime Historian Max Burns-McRuvie, this event will bring to life our rum-infused heritage of robberies, escapes, rebellions, murders, rum-runners, street gangs and sly-groggers as we sample the true spirit of Sydney in style.

If you joined us for our June session, you're in for a treat. This experience will feature new stories riddled with unpalatable crimes and a refreshed flight of Brix Rums.
